I still have 20 hours and 15 minutes before Madeline is officially 2 (she was born at 5:15 pm on March 29th) but we had her party today so I'll post pictures. Just know I am holding on to every last second of my 1 year old!
Here are the decorations:
Eric made up a little Blue's Clue's game for her. The idea was for her to figure out that we were having cake. Well she was a bit shy because everyone had just arrived and she had just woken up but she did ok. She found all the clue's but didn't figure out that we were having cake.
Here she is right after nap:
Sitting in the thinking chair so she can "think, think, thiiiiiink,"
The cake:
She actually got a bit too close and burned her lip on one of the candles.
Present time:
She got a lot but thankfully not quite as much as last year. Still way too much for 1 little girl.
She was so cute. After each present she had to go show Grandma.
Having a lot of fun!
Presents from Auntie Kim and Uncle Chris. I video taped it for them since they weren't able to be here. I kept asking Madeline to look at the camera and say "thank you auntie Kim" but she kept looking back at Auntie Kim's picture. I tries about 5 times with no luck. haha!
Princess dress up kit from Grandma and Grandpa:
Tea set from Nana and Papa (she got a bunch of other things from them but I'll spare all of you the hours it would take to look at everything)
Too bad the tea set is porcelain so it will have to be put away for a couple of years. It is really cute though! She also got that table and chair set for her dolls. It's obviously very sturdy since she was able to sit in it.
Well that's it. Eric and I saved a couple of presents to give her on her actual birthday tomorrow. I'm a bit sad that she's 2 already but very proud of what a smart, polite, generous, beautiful little girl she is!

That outfit cracks me up! Love the black tutu. I can't believe that she is two already! It seems like just yesterday I got your baby announcement. We know all too well about the "too much" from everyone, but we just try to enjoy it. It's one way they let Madeline know they love her and she is one loved little girl!
