What to wear to Disney.

To keep myself occupied I decided to plan Madeline's wardrobe for Disney. Luckily, I like to shop sales so I have Madeline's entire summer wardrobe already. So I decided on a few things, including 3 disney t-shirts (Pooh, Daisy, and Minnie to match me). Then it was time to decide on a costume to bring. I had gotten 2 Disney costumes on clearance after Halloween last year. Madeline loves the little mermaid so I got that one and Alice in wonderland. We first tried on the Mermaid costume. She looked very cute in it but it was itchy apparently. She didn't even leave it on long enough for me to get a picture. Then we tried on Alice. We have a winner!

She absolutely loves this dress! She kept wanting me to put her in front of the mirror and then she'd say "pretty". I have to agree. :)

Watch what you say!

I'm warning you! Madeline now repeats EVERYTHING!! A couple of days ago, Madeline decided she was too good for a spoon and ate her applesauce with her fingers and by "drinking" out of the container. I looked over at her about 5 minutes later and exclaimed "Oh Goodness". Now every time she finishes eating she feels the need to say "oh goodness". Don't even get me started on the word fart.

Madeline also enjoys telling us what to say. She'll fall ( she likes to fake fall for some reason) and then say "ok" meaning she wants us to ask her if she's ok. She'll then say, "uh huh" and go about her business. Sometimes she makes us ask her entire entourage and all her toys if they're ok too. This whole process can take quite a while since we have about a million toys.

She has also become obsessed with the Little Mermaid. At first I was very excited that she enjoyed a Disney movie since we're going there soon but watching it 3 times a day is not so fun for me. I solved this problem buy getting the other 2 Mermaid movies for some variety.

Counting: Madeline can now count to 10. Well she's apparently not fond of the numbers 4-6 but she counts in order. I even heard her counting to 12 the other day.

Colors: Her favorite color is green. She absolutely loves green. She can also identify blue (most of the time) pink, yellow, and purple.

Shapes: she knows circle, square, triangle, star, and is working on octagon, hexagon, oval, and rectangle.

Puzzles: she'll be moving on to 500 piece puzzles soon I'm sure.

Coloring: haven't mastered this one yet. She prefers playing with stickers.

Reading: She can read entire encyclopedia's. She still loves to read to herself but is enjoying an entire story read to her by us now. We can actually read the story instead of just talking about the pictures now.

Alphabet: this one is tricky. She doesn't like to practice but then she'll surprise us by picking out a letter on our clothing. So we know she's learning. She just doesn't like to show off ;)

Matching: she loves to match things. She enjoys playing memory (although we just match the cards at this point). She also likes grouping all of her little people together in categories.

Talking: she loves to talk. She is speaking in sentences more and more and we can understand most of what she says.

Our little girl is growing up.

Disney World here we come!

Well, it appears I've had an early miscarriage. My HCG level went from 7 on Friday to 4.6 today. Anything under 5 is not pregnant. I'm glad that I know I was pregnant because I sure felt pregnant for most of last week. It's good to know I'm not crazy! By Friday and all weekend I new I wasn't pregnant any longer. So that makes 1 baby and 2 miscarriages. Hopefully we'll even out that score one day.

But, for now you all will have to settle with reading about Disney World planning. We've bumped up our trip that was supposed to take place next February, to THIS May! I'm very excited. I'm sure I'm driving Eric nuts already with my planning. Madeline seems excited too. She keeps asking if Nana and Papa are coming, which they are. Since we are going in May it WILL be warm, we WILL go to a water park, and it WILL be during the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. I've never been at this time of year. I also think we'll be going to Gatorland. We will be there for 12 wonderful nights. Ahhhhhhhh vacation.

7

... that is quite the confusing number for us right now. That is what my beta HCG came back today. They consider anything over 5 a positive result. But it's not a great number. In comparison my number with Madeline on the same day was 52-- and I thought that was low.

The only thing we can do now is hope and pray it goes up on Monday. It's going to be a long long weekend!

Disappointment

Life is full of disappointment big and small. We've just been fed a huge dose of disappointment. We're done, can't take it anymore. I guess Madeline will be an only child. It's hard giving up a dream, but it has to be done. I need to work on being a better mother to the beautiful child I already have.

Quick update.

We had the transfer today. Both of our embryo's made it through thaw. Hopefully they're digging in for a nice long 8 month stay in there now. We shall see.

Thank you for all of your well wishes and prayers. They mean so much!

72 hours

In 72 hours we should be on our way home with -hopefully- 2 embryo's on board. I'm still in denial that this is all happening for the most part. It's been too easy. Way. Too. Easy.

In 72 hours my bladder will -hopefully- be comfortably empty. (You have to have a full bladder for the transfer) I'm sure Eric hopes this too. Last time, on our way home, we had to stop 2 or 3 times for me to use the bathroom. I don't know what was going on with my bladder but it wasn't pretty. I've considered getting a diaper this time. Just.In.Case. I wonder if Madeline's diapers would work ok. Might have to bring one. I think it will be just about rush hour when we leave downtown. That won't bode well for emergency bathroom stops. Not.At.All.

So it's decided, diaper it is!

One last thought. People always say "implanted" and "eggs". For the record, we are not having "eggs" "implanted". We are having (hopefully) 2 EMBRYO's TRANSFERRED. The embryo's, God willing, will implant themselves in my juicy uterine lining. I have been asked many times through this whole thing, "so you'll have twins then?" If the embryo's were implanted by the doctor then yes I suppose I'd have twins. BUT since they are just TRANSFERRED, there is no gaurantee that we will even have 1 out of this whole thing.

Here is where I beg for more prayers. Thank you to all of you who have prayed thus far. Even though there is this great technology it is still all in God's hands. Doctors can only do so much.
